Madeline is currently studying volcanic hotspots on Io. Using spacecraft data from Juno and ground-based data from the IRTF (Infrared Telescope Facility), they identify and measure the flux from volcanoes on the surface of Io and use that to study how tidal heating works in the Jovian system.
